Q:  What is Silhouettes?
A:  Silhouettes is a couples club that gives an opportunity for open-minded people who are involved in, or curious about the lifestyle to meet, dance and otherwise socialize together in a drug-free and safe environment.  A no-pressure place where No means NO!

Q:  Who belongs to Silhouettes?
A:  All types of people belong to Silhouettes.  Membership is open to couples only.  Members come from various walks of life — many occupations and professions – but all possess an interest or curiosity in the lifestyle.  Some members have been involved in the lifestyle for years; some participate; some are voyeurs; and still others are merely curious about whether they would like to become involved in the lifestyle.  The couples are all in emotionally committed relationships.  Members' ages range from early 20s to late 60s with the average being 30 to 45. back to top

Q:  What is the "Lifestyle"?
A:  That's a difficult question to answer because the lifestyle means something different to everyone.  Members visit our club hoping to find others who share the same interest.  Some simply are exploring their voyeuristic or exhibitionist fantasies.  Some couples are experienced in the lifestyle; others are very curious about their own desires. back to top

Q:  What goes on at a typical party?
A:  After hosting many parties, one thing we have found to be true: There is no such thing as a typical party!   Each party seems to take on a life of its own... but always includes entertainment, fun, relaxation, socialization, and dancing.  While you may see flirting, teasing, seduction, and erotic dancing going on, there is no pressure to do anything that you don't want to do.  It is a great way for new couples to be introduced to the lifestyle. 
Guests begin arriving at parties at around 9 p.m.; the gourmet buffet is served at 10:30 p.m. and partying continues until 3 am.  Party attendance ranges from 40-60 couples.  The atmosphere is not rigid -- we're friendly and polite and expect others to act likewise. back to top

Q:  We've never been to anything like this.  Will we feel comfortable?
A:  Yes — or, at least, we hope so.  We take extraordinary steps to try and make you feel comfortable when you attend a Couples Club party.  Your hosts will usually greet you at the door, guide you through a tour of the premises where the parties are held, help you find a seat at a table or the bar, answer your questions and encourage you to meet other party guests.
Other members will most-likely greet you throughout the evening.  Don't be a wallflower. The key to meeting other couples is to mingle and to be friendly.  You set the pace, as quickly or as slowly as you and your companion desires.  However, Silhouettes adheres to a No Means No! policy. back to top

Q: Will there be any pressure?
NO - Don't allow yourself to be forced into an uncomfortable situation. You should never feel pressured into doing anything you don't want to. You are here to have fun, being coerced is "not fun". So if anyone persists, please inform the management. back to top

Q:  What does attending a party cost?

Q:  What makes Silhouettes different?
A:  Typically, our members make Silhouettes different.  Our members respect each other's wishes.  They enjoy each other's company and are discreet.  A lot of people who attend Silhouettes events become friends and may meet at times other than at Silhouettes events.  The members also add a touch of class and style with their attire and by their conduct and they add to the overall positive atmosphere at the parties.  Most importantly, Silhouettes is relaxing and provocative.  Isn't that what it's all about? back to top

Q:  What do people normally wear to a Couples Club party?  Is there a dress code?
A:  Many newcomers are unsure just how tantalizing or seductive their clothing can get, so they tend to be a little conservative on their first visit. That's okay!  The bottom line is to dress however you feel most comfortable — as revealing as you want (mini skirts, provocative or sexy lingerie underneath, low cut tops, etc.) or as conservative as you want.  Remember that we do not pass judgment — except that no jeans, T-shirts, sneakers, hats or unkempt clothing are permitted.  Management reserves the right to refuse entrance to the party to anyone if their clothing is unacceptable. back to top

Q:  Are there drinks or food at Silhouettes parties?
A:  All parties are BYOB. You supply the liquor and we supply all the mixes. We do not sell or supply any alcohol at all including beer, you must bring your own. Most parties have hot buffets served from 10:30 till 12 PM. back to top

Q:  Are reservations required?

Q:  Are there any rules at Silhouettes parties?
A:  Yes. Although the majority of rules are printed in these Frequently Asked Questions, there are a few other common-sense rules, such as prohibiting the use of cameras and prohibiting possession or use of illegal drugs.  Violation of the latter rule would also result in membership revocation. back to top

Q:  What happens if a single male attempts to attend a Couples Club party?
A:  Single men are not permitted to join the Couples Club or attend Couples Club parties. Single men also are prohibited from escorting a different woman to each party.  If you come as a couple, you must leave as a couple.  If the female partner leaves the party early for any reason, the male must leave also. back to top

Q:  I wouldn't want my name or address given to anyone without my prior knowledge.  Do you sell or give your mailing list to anyone?
A:  No.  Your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and any other information provided by you is kept strictly confidential, even from other members.  Silhouettes does not release personal information to anyone or any entity. back to top
